I am a multimedia digital artist based in Northern California. A self-taught graphic designer and web designer, I have been creating cartoon-style children’s designs for my online business, Mandy’s Moon Personalized Gifts, since 1999. In 2015, I moved my online store to the Shopify platform and expanded to add a spin-off site, Say it With a Stuffed Animal. Since then, I have also helped a number of artists, crafters, and small businesses get started with their own Shopify websites. My services include setting up Shopify stores, adding products, and training owners how to manage their own stores.
In the summer of 2018, I was introduced to Virtual Reality for the first time. From the moment I first put on a VR headset and discovered that I could draw swirling, sparkling trails all around myself in infinite 3D space in TiltBrush, my mind began spinning with the creative possibilities of this new medium, and I knew that creating in Virtual Reality MUST be part of my future!
As a child I spent hours drawing aliens, mystical creatures, animals, and imaginary places; now I can bring all these things to life in 3D. I have spent a considerable amount of time exploring and learning VR and 3D creative apps, including Tiltbrush, OpenBrush, Gravity Sketch, Adobe Modeler, Tvori, ColoryVR, Medium, Masterpiece, Neos, Horizon, Deep Motion Animate 3D, Wonder Studio, Adobe Aero, Premiere, and more. I have also spent a considerable amount of time learning Blender, and have a basic knowledge of Unity and have built worlds in Mozilla Hubs, VR Chat, and Altspace VR. I have not tied myself down to one particular style or app because VR and other 3D digital art technology is constantly changing and I am having a lot of fun exploring them all! But if I had to describe my style, I would say it is colorful, whimsical, and intended to make people happy! And above all else, I love things that SPARKLE!!!
I have also experimented with AI art with MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, Dalle2, and Kaiber, and I often use the results from these as inspiration for new creatures and scenes to create in Blender or VR.
As a member of the VRArtLive community from 2019 – 2022 I had the opportunity to participate in virtual reality art shows, animation screenings, and challenges, and I co-directed the VRArtLive Galactic Safari show in August 2020.

In addition to 3D art/world building, I am also available for lessons in getting started with VR art, building Shopify websites, and lessons in managing your own Shopify website.
